Hello! I'm Virtue Shine, and this is the story of Emerald & Wax, a brand born from a deep love for fashion and an appreciation of the importance of memory, and a strong cultural pride.

The journey of Emerald & Wax began amidst the vibrant chaos of New York City during my first pregnancy.  Searching for stylish, ethical maternity wear, I discovered a significant gap in the market.  This unmet need ignited a creative spark, and Emerald & Wax was born.

Now, nestled in the serene beauty of the West of Ireland my Ghanaian heritage continues to fuel my designs. Inspired by the elegant simplicity of Japanese architecture and the rich cultural exchange between Africa and Japan, I create pieces from vibrant African prints and traditional textiles that exude joy, confidence, and a deep sense of connection.

My collections are more than just garments; they are stories waiting to be told. They are a love letter to those who dare to embrace color and celebrate the unique. They are a journey across cultures, a tapestry woven with threads of diverse traditions and shared human experiences.
